About Warminster PA

Located along Bucks County's southwestern border, Warminster was established around 1685, though its borders were established formally in 1711. It was named for a small town in England's Wiltshire County. It began as a small farming community, and has remained an agricultural center throughout its history. Even as recently as 1955, Warminster had no residential subdivisions and only one housing complex, though it has since expanded its capacity for residents. Warminster also housed a Naval Air Warefare Center, which operated until 1996, at which point the center was acquired by an aeronautical corporation. With a total of 10.2 square miles of land, Warminster has become home to 32,682 individuals.
