Hardscaping

Although segmental paving is thousands of years old, contemporary paver and wall construction did not gain broad acceptance in this country until the late 1970's. Today, interlocking pavers and segmental retaining wall systems have become the primary choice for a huge range of sophisticated, visually compelling, and highly maintainable hardscaping projects.  Whether envisioning a simple patio, sidewalk, or garden wall...or dreaming of an elegant raised patio with a sitting wall, fireplace and pillars, these products make it possible.

Each manufacturer brings a unique portfolio of designs and colors that offer something for everyone's taste.  Products can be mixed to produce amazing combinations of color and texture or used homogenously to produce elegant vistas. Visit our outdoor sample patios to see the choices in a natural light, outdoor setting.

We have selected our suppliers for their excellence in designing, developing and manufacturing beautiful products with superior quality and diversity of look and feel.

Traditional hardscaping means dry-laying segmental materials on a flexible base. The benefit of this form of construction is that if the ground shifts, the project sustains little or no damage. And, if there is damage, it is easy to repair with very low cost.

So, for example,  if a portion of your patio sinks due to decomposing subterrainean roots, the repair process is simple:  The patio material that is effected can be removed and the hole can be fillled with additional base materials. Then the original patio material  can be re-set on the new base quickly and easily.
